On September 1, 2017, the BRICS Business Council Annual Meeting 2017 was held in Pudong Shangri-La Hotel, Shanghai, China. Over 300 representatives from the business communities of Russi, China, Brazil, India and South Africa, as well as representatives from cooperative organizations such as the New Development Bank and UNIDO were invited to the event.

Today in Xiamen (China) at the meeting of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, the head of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping, Brazil's President Michel Temer, South Africa's President Jacob Zuma and Indian Prime Minister Narendra a report on the activities of the Business Council was presented.

The meeting of the BRICS Business Council with the Communist Party Secretary of Shanghai and a member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of China Han Zheng within the framework of the events of the 9th BRICS Summit in Shanghai took place on September 1^st.

From 3 to 5 September, the Chinese city of Xiamen will host the 9^th BRICS Summit.  The same time the BRICS Business Forum will take place in Xiamen under the theme “BRICS: Stronger Partnership for a Brighter Future”. 

The meeting of the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation Sergei Katyrin with the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Cuba Orlando Hernández Guillén (the Cuban delegation traveled through Moscow to Astana to participate in the Day of Cuba at Expo-2017) was held in Moscow's Expocenter. 

The prospects of cooperation between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation and the American Chamber of Commerce in Russia (AmCham Russia) were the discussion topic during the meeting of the Vice-president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation Vladimir Padalko and AmCham President & CEO Alexis Rodzianko on July 17^th.

In the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation President of the CCI of Russia Sergei Katyrin met with the Minister of Industry, Trade and Tourism of the Kingdom of Bahrain Zayed bin Rashid Alzayani.

A grand opening of the joint stand of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, the World Trade Center, the Expocentre Fairgrounds and the Ural Chamber of Commerce was held at the international industrial exhibition INNOPROM-2017. The President of the Ural Chamber of Commerce and Industry Andrei Besedin chaired the ceremony.

On July 5^th the Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation Mr. Vladimir Padalko met with Honorary Chairman of the Committee for Hungarian-Russian Relations of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mr. Imre Tóth and vice-president of the Committee Mr. Laszlo Horvath.

The International Think Tank Summit «Primakov Readings» 2017 dedicated to the memory of the outstanding scientist and statesman Academician Yevgeny Primakov took place at the Moscow’s World Trade Center on June 29- 30. The theme of the forum was "The World in 2035".

The vice-president of the CCI of Russia Vladimir Padalko opened the Russia-Vietnam forum. Speaking with brief opening remarks he welcomed the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Chiang Dai Kuang, and the Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Maxim Oreshkin.

The meeting of the President of CCI of Russia Sergey Katyrin with the President of Prahova Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Romania) Aurelian Gogulescu took place in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.

On June 20^th a Seminar to attract Russian investment in Brazil was held at the Ritz Carlton Hotel. The seminar was one of the events within the framework of the official visit of Brazilian President Mr. Michel Temer to Russia.

The business forum "Cyprus-Russia: New Opportunities for Business and Investment Cooperation" took place at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation. The event was organized by the Cyprus Embassy in Russia in cooperation with the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Tourism of Cyprus, the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Cyprus-Russia Business Cooperation Association with the support of the CCI of Russia.

The 13th high-level meeting of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Russia, Mongolia and China had being held in Ulaanbaatar. Over 300 business delegates of the three countries were exchanging views on trilateral trade cooperation and investment and defining their future goals.

The head of the National Chapter of the SCO Business Council from Russia, the President of CCI of Russia Sergey Katyrin took part in the events of the SCO Summit in Astana.

At the upcoming summit of the SCO heads of state in Astana the main event will be the admission of India and Pakistan to full members of the organization. With these words the Vice-president of the CCI of Russia Vladimir Padalko began the session “The SCO and prospects for the development of broad Eurasian partnership” at SPIEF-2017.

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with representatives of the business community at the SPIEF-2017.
